Slipstream Adventures was born from a love of riding, community, and the belief that a great cycling holiday should feel as good off the bike as it does on it.

We bring people together through unforgettable rides in breathtaking locations - with luxury chalets, curated routes, and the kind of hosting that makes you feel instantly at home.

Slipstream Adventures about photo of our founder at the top of Mont Ventoux after cycling

Slipstream Adventures started with one idea: that incredible cycling experiences shouldn’t be reserved for elite athletes or massive groups. After moving to the French Alps in 2016, I couldn’t believe how good the riding was - smooth tarmac, iconic climbs, delicious cafés, and more than a week’s worth of incredible routes all from one base. It felt selfish not to share it.

What started with guiding groups of friends has grown into something I’m really proud of: A community of cyclists who come as strangers and leave as friends. We don’t just ride iconic climbs; we create space for people to push themselves, connect, and feel completely looked after.

We now run individual mixed groups, private holidays, and our most popular trips - women’s retreats. These weeks have become more than just holidays. They’re about confidence, support, and sharing the ride with others who just get it. Whether you’re training for a race or just love to explore new places, we tailor the routes to make sure everyone gets what they came for and more.

Before launching Slipstream, I spent years planning, managing and guiding major events for companies like Vodafone, Deloitte, Heineken, and Threshold Sports. I also spent winters managing high-end catered chalets in the Alps. It taught me the importance of preparation, service, and the little touches that turn a good holiday into something unforgettable. That same mindset shapes every trip we run, from the moment you book to the final climb.

As your guide, I’m with you every step of the way. I build the week around the group, adjust the routes as we go, and make sure you’re supported both physically and mentally. You don’t need to be the fastest or the fittest. You just need to show up, ride your pace, and enjoy the journey.

I’m also a qualified personal trainer, which helps me understand each rider’s ability and make sure you’re challenged without ever feeling out of your depth.

It’s not just about the roads (though they are stunning). It’s about the whole experience. The luxury chalet that feels like home, the private chef preparing meals each day, the post-ride reflections in the hot tub, and the laughter that carries through the week. We keep the groups small and the vibe inclusive. No egos, no pressure, just great riding and great people.

Whether it’s your first cycling holiday or your fifth, I’d love to welcome you to the Slipstream family.

Roberta (Roby) - Sales & Marketing

Woman with a helmet riding a bicycle on a gravel path in a rural area with vineyard and tall cypress trees in the background.

Growing up near Venice, Roby has never been far from a bicycle. These days, she’s the engine room of Slipstream HQ - keeping the wheels turning behind the scenes, especially during our busiest weeks of the year. If she picks up the phone, her infectious energy will make you feel instantly at home.

She’s also the one making us look good online, running our social media and curating the visual touches that give Slipstream its personality. Her eye for detail and love of design help shape everything from our branding to the welcome notes you find waiting in the chalet.

Roby’s bike collection would make any Italian proud - currently at five and counting. Ask her which one’s her favourite, and it’s always the one she’s riding. Whether it’s her e-road bike for flying up climbs or her trusty custom Liv for all-day adventures, she’s never far from two wheels.

Fluent in English, Italian, French and Spanish, Roby bridges cultures with ease — helping us connect with guests and suppliers from around the world and making everyone feel welcome, wherever they’ve come from.

Ciao, Bonjour, Hola, Hello! Roberta and the team can’t wait to welcome you to the Slipstream family.

Jay - Rider Support & All-Round Legend

A smiling man wearing a cycling helmet and sunglasses is leaning forward, with other cyclists in the background, outdoors near a wooden shed.

Jay has been part of Slipstream since day one. He’s not just support - he’s the guy everyone looks for when they need a lift (physically or mentally). Whether you're flying at the front or digging deep at the back, Jay’s the first to cheer you on and the last to leave anyone behind.

He’s Sam’s right-hand man on the road, and the energy he brings to the group is hard to put into words. A calm presence, a constant encouragement, and hands down the most popular man on every ride - Jay is the kind of person who makes you believe you’ve got another gear, even when the legs are saying otherwise.

But it’s not just his support that stands out. Jay has a natural eye for capturing the moments that matter. Many of the best photos from our trips - the effortless smiles, the mountain switchbacks, the coffee stops with views for days - come from his camera. Thanks to Jay, our guests go home not only with memories but with pictures to prove it.

If you’re lucky enough to share a week with Jay, you’ll see why he’s one of Slipstream’s best-kept secrets. He won’t make a big deal of it, but he’ll probably make your week.
